A small house

Last week Lydia and I decided to build a small wooden house.

Being us, and being Ghana this one has some unique design features:
  • The roof can open for easy maintenance...

  • The whole house is on stilts to keep out snakes...

  • There's a 5cm air gap around three sides of the top to allow air flow, but crucially horizontal rain can't get in. Should stay dry even in the worst of storms...

  • And the door can be locked open, locked closed, or swing both ways freely...

Someday we hope to have two big strong guard dogs living here. Until then...

(Left Senkelenke ('Thin person'), Right Obulobu (Ghaniain - 'Fat person')). 6 weeks old.

Love, Tim & Lyd
